Due to nuvistors Chimera has high output power of more than 100 W per channel, as well as superb dynamics and extremely low signal-to-noise ratio. Chimera’s output stage is based 6п37н nuvistor.

Special for Chimera S.A.Lab company developed and produces powerful (800 W) output transformers with low active impedance primary winding (less than 70 Ohm) what made transformers’s capability for higher peak current. Transformers are deeply sectioned and their special windings are coupled with second tubes’ grids.

To decrease intermodulation and noise level all stages as well as biasing and heating circuits have regulated power supplying from separate power transformer windings. Power supply for channels is stabilized too.

S.A.Lab designed original heat sinks for powerful nuvistors to increase tubes’ durability and lifetime.

Chimera has S.A.Lab designed and produced low inductivity power transformer which has specific shield to block interference noise.

Familiar to many S.A.Lab products balanced output transformers include high purity copper gold plated wire.
For bridge mode there is another transformer that uses high purity copper gold plated wire too.
