New S.A.Lab Chimera Series embodies company’s longstanding development and abundant experience in tube schematic design. Chimera products totally realize such tube advantage as high linearity and at the same time overpass drawbacks (comparing with transistor) as low bias and increased noise level.
New S.A.Lab Chimera Series embodies company’s longstanding development and abundant experience in tube schematic design. Chimera products totally realize such tube advantage as high linearity and at the same time overpass drawbacks (comparing with transistor) as low bias and increased noise level.
Thanks to its exclusive schematics Chimera Phono preamplifier reveals all the fascination and enchantment of vinyl sound.
In Chimera Phono we use 6922 double triode that is widely popular among audiophiles. Tubes are produced and carefully selected specially for S.A.Lab.
Due to solid state current sources tubes demonstrate all their capabilities. These are high amplification, low noise and distortion levels in input stages and low output impedance and high current amplitude in output stage.
We achieve highest PSRR (Power Supply Rejection Ratio): 170 dB on 50 kHz and 110 dB on 50 and 100 Hz in whole frequency spectrum (1 V output level).
Chimera Phono has two types of step-up transformers for standard and low output MC-cartridges. Transformer are wound by high purity gold plated copper wire.
Outputs are provided with high tech balanced transformers S.A.Lab designed and produced.
